"It's my first time at Anchor of Hope. What should I expect when I come to service?"
When you walk through the doors, you should expect to be greeted with a warm smile and a friendly handshake.
In our 10:00 am Sunday School class, children are separated by age group to discuss the Bible in an age-appropriate setting. Adults are invited into the fellowship hall for an open-discussion Bible study. Discussions are Christ-centered and focused upon practical lessons that will encourage participants to further their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our typical Sunday School class is approximately 45 minutes in length.
In our 11:00 am Sunday Worship Service, adults and children gather in the sanctuary to lift our voices in praise to the Lord through song. After a time of worship, one of our pastors brings the message of the day, allowing God to speak to our hearts through the preaching of the Word. As the Spirit moves, we are given an opportunity for God to meet our needs through prayer and intercession.
At Anchor of Hope, the service is about God meeting your needs as you worship Him. Your needs and your life are important to God. We want you to be touched by God through your worship of Him, our prayer for one another, and the truth that is heard in the preaching of the Word.
"How should I dress?"
Whether you are more comfortable in a three-piece suit or a t-shirt and jeans, you will be welcome at Anchor of Hope. We only ask that you allow respect for the house of God to guide your choice of attire, whether dressy or casual.
